Between October 7th - December 15th 2012, a group of 13 volunteers aged between 18 - 25 from Great Britain and Nicaragua took part in Raleigh International's ICS programme. Recently introduced the programme brings together volunteers from the U.K. and host countries to work on important development projects for a 10 week period. This video shows some of the experiences of Raleigh's volunteer group 'Charlie 5' in La Muta, Nicaragua on their October - December 2012 project. Every child deserves a decent school for primary education, and the focus of this project was to rebuild a derelict primary school in a remote community in the North of Nicaragua. Over the course of the Nine Weeks in La Muta, the volunteers learnt just as much from the community as they would the volunteers.
