Clapham chemical assault: police statement on 'horrific' attack

A police superintendent has described the assault with a corrosive alkaline substance on Wednesday night in south London as 'horrific'.

Supt Gabriel Cameron said police were looking for a man called Abdul Ezedi, aged 35, after a 31-year-old woman and her two daughters, aged three and eight, were attacked last night. Ezedi was last seen in Caledonian Road, north London and had significant injuries to the right side of his face, Cameron said, adding anyone seeing him should call 999 and not approach him. Anyone with information about the attack, including dashcam or doorbell footage, should call 0207 1752784.
