Hacking Humanity | Andrew Lo | TEDxCambridgeSalon

Описание к видео Hacking Humanity | Andrew Lo | TEDxCambridgeSalon

Technological advances are now happening exponentially fast, but Homo sapiens is pretty much the same species as we were 60,000 years ago. Andrew Lo, Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management and Director of the Laboratory for Financial Engineering at MIT, explores how this growing mismatch has created unintended consequences like pollution, climate change, poverty, and financial crises. Can human behavior catch up before it's too late? Andrew W. Lo is the Charles E. and Susan T. Harris Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management, the director of MIT’s Laboratory for Financial Engineering, a principal investigator at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab, and an affiliated faculty member of the MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University and his A.B. in economics from Yale University. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
