Das war ja mal was!
Die ersten zwei kleinräumigen Superzellen gabs quasi direkt vor der Haustür, südlich von Nürnberg…
Dann gings weiter südlich los, ständig kamen neue Zellen.

Ja, die Zellen waren nicht all zu stark, aber waren dennoch, wenn auch kurzlebige und kleinräumige, Superzellen.
Aber dann… etwas nordwestlich und westlich von Ingolstadt…

Was steht denn da hinten?
Einfach DER Gerät!

Naja die Geräte, denn das waren zwei kräftige Superzellen mit richtig schönen Aufwindschrauben hintereinander.
Und was für Blitze die Zelle vor mir brachte!

Doch auch als die beiden Zellen zum Sonnenuntergang langsam in sich zusammenfielen, war das Chasing noch nicht vorbei.

Bis in die Nacht rein gab es rund herum Blitzshow vom feinsten, dazu immer wieder faszinierende Formationen.

Erst westlich von Ingolstadt, dann südlich davon, dann Richtung Landshut und schließlich bei Regensburg den letzten Abschlussblitz…

Da waren anfangs auch nochmal kleine Superzellen dabei.

Was für eine Lage… doch, wie immer, seht selbst und genießt die Aufnahmen!

Now that was something!
The first two small-scale supercells were practically right on our doorstep, south of Nuremberg...
Then it continued further south, with new cells constantly appearing.

Yes, the cells weren't particularly strong, but they were still supercells, albeit short-lived and small-scale ones.

But then... a little northwest and west of Ingolstadt...
What's that back there?
Oh, just an epic monster supercell!

Well, more than one, because those were two powerful supercells with really nice updrafts, literally screwing into the sky, just coming towards my position, one after the other.

And what crazy lightning the cell in front of me brought!
But even as the two cells slowly collapsed at sunset, the chasing wasn't over yet.

There was a lightning show of the finest all around us until well into the night, with fascinating formations still going strong.

First west of Ingolstadt, then south of it, then towards Landshut, and finally the final flash near Regensburg...

There were also small supercells at the beginning.

What a Chase... but, as always, see for yourself and enjoy the shots!
