A cute baby mantled howler monkey (Alouatta palliata) slinking around over the rest of its troop. Because of the howler monkeys' low energy diet (consisting mostly of leaves), they are much more sedentary than the other monkey species of Costa Rica. They can spend up to 80% of the day resting. Fun fact: Mothers will make a bridge of their bodies so that their infants can travel from tree to tree!
