Visit It While You STILL CAN! The Best Glacier In Norway!

Описание к видео Visit It While You STILL CAN! The Best Glacier In Norway!

A long road trip with a caravan along the Sognefjord to the largest glacier in continental Europe, Justedalsbreen. A hike to two such different Haugabreen and Boyabreen glacier arms. Not everything went according to plan on this trip, or actually, the plan literally fell apart,

In this video, we tried to show you the colors of fjords, ancient glaciers, and mighty mountains on our way! The nature of Norway is so beautiful and fragile at the same time.

We also visited the Glacier Museum, where we got answers to many questions that we are ready to share with you! We also made a stop at a small and cozy book town Fjærland.

We confidently walked towards our first Big Edition and really wanted to make it perfect, but it turned out to be not an easy task, we really hope that you will like the release and leave your wishes and questions in the comments under the video.

This is insanely important and necessary for us!

Sognefjord (#Sognefjord) - the longest fjord in Norway and the second largest in the world, it is 204 kilometers of amazing beauty and tranquility. Majestic mountains and glaciers along the whimsically curving strip of mighty water and picturesque settlements on the slopes of the mountains.

One of its branches is Fjærlandfjord - the waters of this fjord are colored in an incredible turquoise color by the Jostedalsbreen glacier. Village Fjærland is located on its bank - it is also called The Book Town, a large collection of old read books collected on stylized wooden shelves and any of them can be purchased.
In the pocket of the fjord is the Glacier Museum, which contains interesting material on glaciers and climate change.

Near the Jostedalsbreen Glacier, many of which we study a little bit every summer. During this trip, we visited two of them, which are so different in their moods.

Haugabreen is a glacier that hides surrounded by mountains and you have to hike to it. The route takes about 3 hours for a round trip. Haugabreen is a rare glacier that can be reached, touched, heard, and felt. Another plus is that it can be done safely enough since it lies and does not overhang.

Bøyabreen - we consider it one of the easiest to visit, no need to climb the mountain or go on a long hike, the glacier is visible right from the parking lot.
It is still huge, and although it retreats every year, it looms menacingly over the valley.

About Us:
We are traveling across Norway with camper Hymer Eriba Troll 530 Rockabilly. Most of our trips are relatively short and start from Fredrikstad in Norway. For those who are limited in time, you might discover what you could see during a two-day or three-day trip in Southern Norway.

You are welcome to leave your questions in a comment to the video and we will try to answer our best!
