Prime Minister Modi Interacts With Agniveers; Rajnath Singh Also Attends Event | Latest News

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Agniveers, one of the first groups of recruits to participate in the military's short-term induction programme. According to official sources, the drill also included Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. In accordance with the Agnipath initiative, which was unveiled on June 14 of last year, the three services are hiring young people between the ages of 17 and a half and 21 for a period of four years with the option to keep 25% of them for an additional 15 years. The maximum age was raised to 23 years for 2022.
