Peggy Burt is a dance and theatre educator, yoga and mindfulness teacher and state-wide arts education consultant. As a leader in the arts education community in California, she brings a wealth of experience to professional development, curriculum development and strategic planning with counties and districts statewide. Her current work focuses on equity and access at the intersection between the arts, social emotional learning and mindfulness, inclusive of English Learners. Her affiliations include the Los Angeles County Office of Education, the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association, and CREATE CA. In addition, Peggy has her own consulting firm, Mindful Strategies, Inc. She enjoyed a long and rewarding career in dance and holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Utah and a Master's degree in Information Science from the University of Michigan.

Kimberleigh Aarn is an arts education consultant who has served the field locally and nationally for over 20 years. She established her own consulting firm, Open Top Creativity, Inc. in 2017 specializing in strategic planning, leadership coaching, professional development and program design. With a background in theatre, visual arts and dance, Kimberleigh has extensive experience in arts integration and curriculum development. As a consultant for the LA County Department of Arts and Culture/Arts Ed Collective, she is a strategic planning coach for school districts and county departments, as well as a facilitator of professional learning for a cohort of planning coaches delivering strategic planning to LA County school districts. She is also a performing artist and when not serving the arts and culture community, she enjoys sitting at the potter’s wheel “throwing clay”.
