Recently, the 54th GST Council meeting was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of the Union Finance Minister. During this, recommendations were made on changes in GST tax rates, measures to provide relief to individuals and to facilitate business. Also, the Council formed a group of ministers to review 18 percent GST on life and health insurance and to reduce GST on cancer medicines.Let us tell you that the GST Council approved reducing the GST rate on three cancer drugs trastuzumab deruxtecan, osimertinib and durvalumab from 12 percent to 5 percent. While the Council also approved reducing the tax on extruded salty snacks from 18 percent to 12 percent.

In other section, Recently, Nepal became a member of the International Solar Alliance. With this, Nepal became the 101st member of this organization. Recently, Nepal submitted its ratification letter to ISA in New Delhi. Let us tell you that the ratification letter was exchanged during a meeting between Nepal's in-charge Dr. Surendra Thapa and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abhishek Singh.
