Today's Video is about Pricing your photography (or really any art based business) for profit. I have seen so many photographers and creatives work around the clock, burn themselves out and miss out on their own families important moments because they didn't price their work for profit. So after all of that hard work, they were barely taking a paycheck. More often then not, they didn't pay themselves anything at all. Their money just filtered back into their business, their prop habit, or new gear. I think all professionals deserve to take a paycheck for their hard work, and create a career doing what they love. a career that affords all of the things a normal career afford, like vacation and sick time, saving for a rainy day and retirement, health insurance and child care. Just because you are doing something you love, doesn't mean you shouldn't get paid. In fact, my belief is that doing what you love, serving the world with your gifts in that unique way that only you can, has the potential to make you the most money you could possibly make! So, let's value that beautiful thing you do, the impact you are meant to make in the world, and get started on pricing your work for profit!
