Osteoperosis - building Bone Mineral Density and Avoiding Falls

Описание к видео Osteoperosis - building Bone Mineral Density and Avoiding Falls

Osteoporosis is a condition that makes bones brittle and fragile and can increase the chance of experiencing a fracture.

Hip fractures are one of the more severe events that can occur amongst those living with osteoporosis.

It's estimated that every year in Australia there are over 19,000 people admitted to hospital with a broken hip.

...71% of them are people over the age of 80 years old.

I recently had the opportunity to catch up with Sarah Comensoli who's an Exercise Physiologist and one of the Directors at BJC Health, an organisation that specialises in Rheumatic conditions and helping patients living with osteoporosis.

Sarah was telling me about an online presentation she and her colleague recorded to help educate people on the topic.

You can access the presentation by visiting their website and subscribing to their BJC Connect members area.

Here's the link to where you can register:

In this video, Sarah and her colleague provide some great information on:

What Osteoporosis is
1. The signs to watch out for
2. Things people can do to slow and even reverse the symptoms of the condition.

Special thanks to the team at BJC Health for making this valuable information available.
