In this tutorial i have discussed how to Interfacing DC motor with AVR group of microcontroller to control speed control of a DC motor. What are the Timers and related registers for it. I have used PWM signal. So, i have discussed what is PWM, how PWM signal is generated with microcontroller, explanation of duty cycle. I have also explained why and how PWM signal is required to control speed of dc motor, how timer is used to generate PWM signal, which are different registers related and how different bits of those registers are set for a particular PWM generation. I have used ATmega328P microcontroller. code has been written with Embedded C. I have used Microchip Studio as editor and Simul IDE to simulate and see the output.
