THE EMPRESS - Chasing CP2816 From Dunmore to Moose Jaw - Final Spike Steam Tour

How often do you get to see a steam locomotive from the 1930s out running on the railway main line? Not often enough! We took the opportunity to leave Calgary early on a Saturday morning and catch CPKC's "The Empress" outside of Dunmore, Alberta and follow it to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

It was a great day with many people out enjoying the experience. The CKPC "Final Spike Steam Tour" is off to a great start as the restored Hudson makes it way to Mexico City to mark the anniversary of the merger of Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern.
