Welcome to Invisible No More — a Transgender Day of Visibility Conversation hosted by the New York State Department of Veterans’ Services (DVS) in partnership with SAGEVets.

This empowering dialogue, moderated by Kristen Rouse, a proud U.S. Army veteran and DVS Deputy Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, celebrates the strength, courage, and contributions of transgender veterans and service members.

Established in 2009 by transgender activist Rachel Crandall, the International Transgender Day of Visibility (March 31) honors individuals who identify as transgender and raises awareness of the discrimination they face worldwide. Today, millions stand together in recognition, solidarity, and pride.

An estimated 15,000 transgender Americans currently serve in the U.S. military — a testament to courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to service.
