Apple 30 inch Cinema Display repair

The light turns on in the front but no backlight and no picture (even with a flashlight). Eventually I want to backlight it with LEDs.

Ended up being the LCD timing controller board and it’s working now. Was just $20 off of eBay

The regular operating resolution is 2560 by 1600 (kinda cool because my LG ultra wide is at 3880 by 1600

The power Mac G4 I have can only output it at 1280 by 800 for some reason. Odd it couldn’t do 1920 by 1080 which the Mac has done with other screens. But it’s whatever, it’s rarely connected to the power Mac.

My main rig is an i7 4790k with an RTX 2060 super so it has a dual link DVI to drive the display fully. One of the last cards with dual link dvi
