One day I was taking a walk and saw two fans thrown out after a garage sail failed to sell them. They had no idea that these fans would become famous one day. In this old video from May 2006 I show a comparison of the two identical fans starting with the unchanged one hooked up to a watt meter. The modified fan ran for much less and charged a battery for free while producing the same air flow. This was the first house I owned and the last section shows how I put it on the ceiling in my bedroom. That ran all summer where I had the batteries up stairs and rotated them every 12 hours. Yeah, I had to do all that labor to go up and down the stairs twice a day. These days we have automatic timers instead of knife switches.

Now we have industrial fans for sale in 6" and 10" sizes that do the same thing.

We also make motors to power large industrial fans. I used to laugh with my friend Pat, who started Renaissance Charge with me, about the fact that I could produce the air flow to power his large megawatt wind generator if he brought it inside and I used one of my fans!
