Most of the cars have the check engine light on, because they are all in Transport Mode.
Sometimes, even the battery light is on as well as ABS, etc... There is nothing wrong. They are in Transport Mode and the performance of the vehicles are limited while they are in this mode. They are limited to 35 km/h and max 4000rpm.
After they get to the dealer, they are inspected and have PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) done and once that is done, they are ready to go, showing their true performance.

So, they're performance, as I said, is limited.
However, cars show their "muscles".
