In this video, we show you how to add and use a scrollbar (form control) in Excel to make your spreadsheets more interactive and dynamic! A scrollbar allows you to adjust values easily without typing, making it perfect for dashboards, data analysis, and creating dynamic charts.
Steps Covered in the Video:
Enable the Developer Tab

First, activate the Developer Tab in Excel by navigating to File Options Customize Ribbon and enabling the Developer checkbox.
Insert a Scrollbar

Go to the Developer Tab, click on Insert, and choose the Scrollbar Form Control
Draw the scrollbar onto your worksheet.

Link the Scrollbar to a Cell

Right-click on the scrollbar, select Format Control, and set the properties:
Min Value: The lowest value the scrollbar will display.
Max Value: The highest value the scrollbar will display.
Cell Link: Choose a cell to display the scrollbar’s output value.

Test the Scrollbar

Drag the scrollbar, and watch the linked cell update dynamically. Use the value to control formulas, charts, or other calculations in your sheet!
