みんなが笑う日まで (Until the day when everyone laughs) - Japanese Worker's Song

This song was composed for the "Singing Voice Festival of Tōkai" (東海のうたごえ祭典) in 1963 and spread all over Japan during the “Singing Voice of Japan” (うたごえ運動) of the same era. The story of its creation is as follows: One day, the composer of this song, Hayashi, was mentally and physically exhausted, and he went down the stairs at the station in a daze. At that moment, a thought came to him: "Is this really okay? I have to do something! I have to think seriously and honestly about the situation I'm in. After all, my sorrow and suffering is the same as everyone else's...". This way, the lyrics "One person's sorrow is everyone's sorrow" came to his mind.
