It was one year ago today (as of uploading and publishing this YouTube slideshow) - June 30, 2017 - when this unforgettable event occurred. That morning, I went to the 4th story of Watson Hall at Orange Coast College to quickly get a few things done. When I returned to the car, I was told about this and we drove over there.

I was watching the live coverage on a Facebook live video. When we got adjacent to John Wayne Airport, I started filming the drive; the live coverage was in the background from the phone. THAT is the live news audio you hear. We went on top of the bridge where a crowd gathered and we absorbed the moment.

I saw the plane.
I saw the traffic.
I saw the reporters; in fact, one of them asked me, "Sir, did you witness the crash?" "No," I replied and he kept walking.
I saw news helicopters and news vans.

I took pictures of all of that.
All the pictures and videos that you see in this amalgamation, I took - except for the two that shows me onlooking the scene (I'm the one in the khaki Royal Rangers uniform and America hat).
