We have with us today Paul Braunstein. Braunstein? Einstein is spelled that way. Maybe it's stein. Maybe we ask him. Let's say it both ways when we introduce him. We have Paul Braunstein. He was on that great show called Shelved. Here's some TV shows that he's done. Train 48, Baroness Von Sketch, Reacher, Save Ne, Hudson and Rex, Burden of Truth, Murdoch Mysteries. Is it Braunstein or Braunstein? Early in my acting career when I wasn't booking anything I was like, I'm going to pronounce my name differently. I started saying Braunstein. My dad says do you say Einstein?
But it is Paoul. It's not Paul. It's Paoul. I'm just joking. No it's not.

What's your spark? My parents were actors. The grumpy teen in me was like, I don't want to be an actor, that's stupid. Cut to me in high school floating around trying to find myself and I end up with all the drama nerds. Oh. These are my people. And I felt connected to something and it felt like family and it felt right. And it still feels like that.

Do you remember your first TV gig? IMDb says it was Earth Final Conflict.

Oh. My god. I completely forgot about that job. I remember asking a grip guy. Am I supposed to be doing blah blah blah? Don't fucking ask me or something really rude. Oh my God and I was like oh my god. This horrible young actor moment who doesn't know what is going on, on these huge sets.

Who were those babies? You can feel the nerves emanating off of me. None of that was scripted. Action and then you start talking.

Another one of our favorite shows is Baroness Von Sketch.

That was a that was a great day on set. Some of it was scripted but a lot of that was me effing around. I remember saying to the director, this is CBC? He's like yeah yeah go ahead have fun. I couldn't believe it. I thought no, this isn't going to make it. And it did. It's one of my favorite things that I've ever been a part of.

3 days before I'm supposed to fly out to Winnipeg to start shooting, I broke my leg. I thought for sure I lost my job. One of the producers on Burden of Truth, she said, Paul we got you. We were going to write it into the show. We're going to take really good care of you. We're going to have a wheelchair for you on set. You're not going to lose any work. And I was just like boop. I loved working on that show.
