Tale's Edge is a third-person action-adventure RPG set in a vibrant, living fairytale world. Players assume the role of Red, a skilled huntress on an unyielding quest to locate her missing mentor, a journey strongly influenced by the disturbing memory of a frightening Wolf. The game features a strong emphasis on player agency, where every decision governs the unfolding narrative and the relationships formed within the world. Faerina, the world in which the game is set, is a living one in which factions shift, characters remember, and events happen independent of player action.
