STORYLINE:
Cities across Europe have been gearing up this week for St Valentines Day, which falls on Sunday February 14.
Valentine''s Day is purportedly named after a Christian saint who lived in ancient Rome.
He was said to have been beheaded after secretly marrying young couples, despite a decree forbidding Roman soldiers to marry.
He was reportedly martyred on February 14, and this has subsequently become traditionally celebrated as a day for couples.
In Paris - seen by many as one of the most romantic cities in the world, chocolate shops, flower shops and even sex shops, have Valentine''s Day goods on display.
Claire and Gregory Casalta meanwhile were enjoying a double celebration.
