2023 TomC Paragliding - Line check and trim video

Hello everyone and thanks for joining me for some tips to measure and adjust paraglider lines.
With the EN-C, 2 liner gliders roller coasting into the market, the line checking topic is getting more important for many of you.
You can ship the glider to the dealer for a line check but you can also do it yourself.
This video is not a complete guide but contains many tips for DIY , especially for the first timer. There is no new science in this video, just sharing my experience.

I did not show how to check and trim the brake lines. The technique is similar the regular lines and I do advise to check them as short brake lines might collide with full speed bar operation.

Check if your glider comes with loops that you can release after initial use to get the glider back in trim.

The second table I show at the end of the video with the trimmed values getting close to the reference lengths is a result of measuring the lines after putting in loops at several places. If the initial loops don't do the job, you need to further adjust and measure again till you get the delta below 10mm.

The time needed to check and trim one glider varies but count on minimum 4h up to 6h non-stop work for the DIY once a year.
