Political Filmmaking, Collaboration, and Digital Technologies: Rory Padgett at TEDxFAU

Rory is a non-auteurist filmmaker from Loxahatchee, FL. He graduated from FAU with a degree in Film, Television, and New Media. Rory is developing a politically agitative mode of cinema production that is predicated on collaboration and improvisation. This presentation is about how social activist respond to new media and the Internet.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
