There are a number of techniques for analyzing proteins, including:

Mass spectrometry

A technique that measures the mass-to-charge ratio of charged particles to determine their masses. It can also be used to study the elemental composition and chemical structure of a molecular sample.

Analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC)

A technique that can be used to study the size and shape of macromolecules in solution. It's particularly useful for characterizing protein aggregation and determining the native state stoichiometry.

Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA)

A technique that can be used to analyze and visualize particles such as protein aggregates in formulation. It can operate in the size range of 50 nm to 2000 nm diameter.

Protein particle sizing

A technique that can provide accurate measurement on a particle by particle basis in the size range between 50 nm and 2 μm.

Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) analysis

A technique that can be used to study protein-protein interactions and determine their equilibrium and kinetic parameters.

Circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy

A technique that measures the differential absorption of left and right circularly polarized light. It can be used to characterize a protein's secondary structure content.
