Loading BRASS 12 ga shotshells with black powder

Описание к видео Loading BRASS 12 ga shotshells with black powder

In a previous video we shot a few of these while we were out shooting clays, wanted to show the process for loading them. Powder, nitro card, cushion wad, shot charge, then overshot card. Powder and shot should be equal proportions and measured correctly.

MAKE SURE - if you shoot these types of shells, you MUST clean your gun THAT Day. Black powder is hygroscopic (meaning it attracts water). Left in the bore of your gun, you will have rust in a day or two (especially if you are like me and are in the southeast where we have lots of humidity). If you have a very old break action shotgun with damascus barrels, you can load these up to 2 3/4 or 3 drams and safely shoot the old gun without worry of rupturing the barrels.

Hope this helps someone, and hope someone ends up loading brass hulls from it.
