Location : Chokkana Village in Thrissur District, Kerala, India
Chokkana is a forest village situated a few kilometers away from the Chimmini Dam in Thrissur ( Trissur ) district. Among Thrissur tourist places , its not as famous as other Thrissur places. Trissur Chokkana is a nice option for a one day trip enjoyment. In the journey, you can see the rubber plantations on the other side of the Mupli Forest. Hence rubber tapping workers can be seen here and there.
The hanging bridges over the Kurumali River is the major attractions here. There are 3 or 4 such bridges built in the past to cross the Kurumali River. Its fun and adventurous when locals drive bikes across the bridge. Kurumalipuzha is a tributary of the Mupli River & the Chimmini River. The refreshing sightseeing memories of Chokkana village are everlasting.
