Cyber Security is a many-faceted topic. In this presentation you will learn about phishing, making your passwords nearly hacker proof, and safe browsing tips for work and home.
Presenting is Matthew McCullough. Matthew teaches Cybersecurity courses at Lake Superior College, including the Intrusion Detection and Network Security Fundamentals courses. Matthew helps students research industry topics such as malware command and control tactics, Internet of Things, and open source defense tools. He also coaches the LSC Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition and the National Cyber League.
Before Matthew’s time teaching, he spent nearly a decade in IT and Cybersecurity at regional banks and the State of Minnesota. He was the recipient of Cybercorps Scholarship for Service award, and has presented at nine different cybersecurity conferences on topics ranging from network monitoring, starting a cybersecurity career, and basic security tips.
