Ingredients
Oats -1 cup
Rava - 1/2 cup
Curd-1 cup
Baking soda-3/4 tsp
or
ENO FRUIT SALT 1 tsp
Salt
Sesame oil-2tbsp
Mustard seeds-1/4tsp
Grated carrot-1/2 cup
Green chilli-2 chopped
Coriander leaves- few chopped
Urad dal-1/4 tsp
Chana dal-1tsp OPT
Hing/kayam podi-less than 1/4 tsp

Method

Heat a kadai and roast oats in medium flame for 5 minutes stirring continuously .

In a kadai heat oil splutter mustard seeds, urad dal and then and roast in medium flame
Then add grated carrot, green chilli , leaves and saute till raw smell goes
Now add rawa and roast for 2-3minutes
In a vessel add beaten curd along with roasted rava and oats mix
mix well..
If u are using rolled oats then grind the oats and mix ..
Then add salt and 1 cup of water
soak for 20 minutes
Then check the water consistency
I added 1/4 glass more water .. so u add accordingly
heat the steamer and get ready
so just b4 making idly add baking soda and mix
then immediately pour batter in the mould
fill 3/4 th portion or it will spill
steam for 10 min or until cooked well
serve with spicy Tomato , coconut chutney and sambar
from this measurement I made 18 idlis
