OK short video of the rotating Flag poles I made a couple weekends ago. they are 7' 6" tall.They are holding 3' x 5' flags.
1- 1" schedule 40 ten foot stick PVC
1- 1" tee
1- 1" 45 degree
2- 1" caps
1- 5 foot piece of 1/2" rebar to drive in ground
1- washer to fit over piece of rebar
2 -1/4 inch eyelets to use to mount flag to pole with clips
cut the piece of PVC into 2 four foot sections and 2 one foot sections
with one of the pieces of 4 foot with smooth side attach 1- 45 degree joint
then attach one of the 1 foot pieces, set aside.
then take the tee and attach 1- four foot section to one side of the tee and the other 1 foot section to the other side of the tee, place caps on both ends of the pole. On the long side of this piece is where you will drill two holes to mount the eyelets (1/4 inch). I use these to attach the flag to the pole with clips, measure the flag you are going to use and drill holes accordingly. after completing the two pieces then dry fit the two parts to look like picture, when you got it right remove and glue together, I like to lay these last two pieces on the ground or deck on the side right after assembly to make sure they are in line with each other. Find a nice spot in your yard, drive your re-bar in the ground about 2 foot, drop washer over the re-bar, sit back drink tea and enjoy your work. painted mine stainless steel after this video, they look great
