Konshens - Live In Concert - Summer Jam Festival 2024

Konshens aka Garfield Delano Spence is a Jamaican dancehall artist and DJ with an international fan base. Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with numerous well-known reggae artists and DJs.

Konshens' career begins together with his brother Delu - under the name SoJah, they both perform as a duo. As a solo artist, he then achieved a big hit in Japan right from the start with the single "Pon Di Corner", after which Konshens toured the country for four weeks. In 2010, his debut album "Real Talk" was released on the Japanese label Koyashi.

In the same year, he founded his own label Subkonshus and collaborated with new artists, including his brother Delus again. For Konshens himself, things are going steeply upwards: In 2012, he releases his second album "Mental Maintenance". In 2013, his song "Gun Shot A Fire" was part of the official soundtrack of the video game "Grand Theft Auto V", and in 2014 he became the official brand ambassador of a well-known US beverage company.

Konshens is not only known in Japan and Jamaica: he has fans in Kenya, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and Europe, where his single "Gal Dem Talk" becomes a big hit. In 2011, he performed at the National Stadium of Guyana.

In April 2016 he released the single "Bruk Off Yuh Back" and in 2017 a remix of the song by Chris Brown was released. The music video for the single has been viewed several million times on YouTube so far. In July 2018, he can be heard together with Enrique Iglesias on "I Don't Dance (Without You)" by Norwegian DJ Matoma.
