Craftsman 50's Paint Sprayer Resto Part 1 of 2

This is part 1 of 2. I found this last year and just had to have it, the design of this is so cool! I continually call this an air compressor in the video and as I state at the beginning, I did research while I was working on it. Turns out it is a portable paint sprayer. I was unsure of the vintage and saw that the motor was stamped 8.57, indicating 1957 manufacture date. At some point I did finally find a 1957 Craftsman catalog with the exact model in it. I knew it was going to be a challenge and it was. I’ve never taken apart a piston piece of equipment or had to go deep into an electric motor.
