HDMI CEC: What Is It and How Does It Work?

I'll tell you about HDMI-CEC function and show this feature on our cabinet door kitchen TV AVS220K and Android set-top box connected to the TV by HDMI cable.

HDMI – CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) is a feature of HDMI connection that allow devices to send and get commands by HDMI cable. There are different names being used for this function by different brands, but they all have the same meaning and almost the same protocol: Anynet + by Samsung, BraviaSync by Sony, SimpLink by LG calls and EasyLink by Philips. We simply keep the original name, HDMI-CEC.
