This pioneering scheme, drawing inspiration from Devi Subhadra, is designed to foster women's empowerment through financial aid for establishing small-scale enterprises, including cottage industries and temporary stalls. The SOP is expected to detail the operational aspects and criteria for eligibility, offering a comprehensive understanding of the program's framework. Deputy CM Parida, concurrently serving as the Minister for Women and Child Development, has urged for accurate dissemination of information to prevent any misconceptions among potential beneficiaries. The initiative promises a monetary incentive of Rs 50,000 to each qualifying woman, with the stipulation of possessing an Aadhaar card. However, it is anticipated that women belonging to higher income brackets or those liable for income tax may not qualify for this benefit.
Susan Wojcicki, who transformed her garage into the brainstorming hub for the internet giant Google and became a leading figure in Silicon Valley through nearly a decade as YouTube’s chief, passed away on August 9 at the age of 56. Her husband, Dennis Troper, announced on Facebook that she had been battling non-small-cell lung cancer for two years, but he did not provide further details about the location of her death.
