I'm not going to give a history lesson on Madame Sherri but I personally learned about this eccentric when I moved to the Monadnock region of New Hampshire. Google her name and learn about her and better yet visit this great abandoned castle .

Famous for its stairway to nowhere this castle burned to the ground in the 1960's . The dramatic staircase and foundation is all that remain and there is a definite feeling that you get when you explore this place , like your not alone . Still a great place that will actually make two of my lists . Enjoy !!!
