An Airbus A320, en route from Barcelona, Spain, to Düsseldorf, Germany, crashed into the French Alps, killing all 150 people on board. Initially, the incident seemed like a tragic accident, but as investigators delved deeper, they uncovered disturbing details that shocked the world.
It was revealed that the co-pilot, Andreas Lubitz, had deliberately crashed the plane. Lubitz had locked the captain out of the cockpit during the flight and then initiated the plane's descent into the mountains. Subsequent investigations showed that Lubitz had a history of mental health issues, including depression, and had been deemed unfit to work by his doctors, though he kept this information hidden from his employers. The crash raised serious concerns about aviation safety, pilot mental health, and the protocols for cockpit security.
