An arrest has been made after a teenager was stabbed following an alleged fight with knives. Merseyside Police were called to New Hutte Lane in Halewood at around 7.50pm on Tuesday, May 27.

Detectives confirmed they had received a report from a member of the public of "two males fighting with knives". One neighbour said on social media it was "kids fighting".

One teenager, a 16-year-old boy, suffered a stab wound to the arm and chest. He was taken to hospital in a stable condition and has now been discharged, police said.
