1.) I now use a program to put the Mugen in borderless windowed mode as it is more stable than the exclusive fullscreen mode in Mugen. You can either run the program before starting the Mugen or you can put a shortcut of it into your Windows startup folder so it starts with windows. It is in the folder: ¬BORDERLESS WINDOWED just run it and it will stay in the taskbar until you restart the pc etc.
*you can create a shortcut of the program and put it into the startup folder, if you do this do not delete the shortcut also made in the same folder as the program. Just leave a comment if you need help.

2). With this program you can make mugen use up to 4gb of ram instead of the default 2gb maximum it can use. This lowers the chance of a CTD and slowdown or other problems / crashes etc. Just go into the folder: ¬4GB RAM PATCH and run the 4gb_patch.exe file. When it opens just browse to your Mugen.exe file and select it, it should then say something like patched successfully.

Both steps are now complete and you can start the game, this way it will now use up to 4gb ram and be in borderless windowed mode which also helps with performance.
