If you are trying to send a SMS who is using an android device and then what you see is you get this message iMessage and then down you will see not delivered then let us see how to fix this issue. Now the iMessage service is the messaging service which is used across two iOS devices and for this one to work both of the devices should have enabled iMessage service in their iPhone. Now if you are trying to send it to the android device it will not work and you will see this iMessage not delivered message. So, what you need to do is you need to send SMS as a plain SMS and not as an iMessage. So, go to "Settings" here. Scroll down and go to "messages" and you will see right now "iMessage" is enabled. So, disable this option and now try to send an SMS to a contact who is using android device and you will see that the SMS will go.
