An informative speech is an individual oral presentation conducted as an English language course's assignment offered by a university in Malaysia. It is presented based on an approved speech topic of the informative speech. When delivering an introduction in your speech, it is pivotal to be concise (10-20 per cent of your speech) and creative in order to gain attention and interest from the audience. To gain attention in your speech, you can question the audience, begin your speech with a remarkable quotation, and tell an interesting story. During the COVID-19 pandemic, students have to do their pre-recorded video presentations before doing the live presentations remotely via Microsoft Teams at their respective homes. This video features two pre-recorded video presentations, which can be served as a self-reflection and reference for other students.
