In Ayurvedic panchakarma, we strictly recommend that the following things that we consume on a daily basis should be avoided, for example curds. Curds can inhibit digestion and it can also trigger the formation of toxins and also the accumulation of toxins. Likewise we also suggest that you avoid heavy foods such as meat and also heavy vegetarian protein sources such as pulses or beans and other things must be. Because anything heavy or guru as we say in Ayurveda must be avoided during panchakarma rejuvenation. Also extreme spices disturb our digestion and it can also irritate our mucus membrane causing discomfort such as gastritis, acidity etc. So spices such as gram masala, red chili, green chilly must be avoided. During Ayurvedic panchakarma detoxification we recommend that one should follow the diet that we recommend strictly. The following foods should be consumed during panchakarma detoxification. For example warm, cooked or steamed foods, which is a must during Panchkarma detoxification. Also rice based recipes, such as tice gruel, rice porridge or rice khichdis are also recommended. Also moong dal based recipes such as moong dal khichdis, moong dal soups and also the simple plain dal is also rcommeded. And also warm which is an important factor in panchakarma detoxification must be consumed during the entire process of detoxification. The temperature of the water again depends on the individual constitution of the patient and also the discomfort they are suffering form. Also any lago category of foods are recommended or are suggested in panchakarma detoxification.
