Ehlers-Danlos: Need More Anesthesia?

Описание к видео Ehlers-Danlos: Need More Anesthesia?

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a connective tissue disorder that can present some challenges to surgery and anesthesia. Most of my patients are concerned that the anesthesia will not work on them, and that they will be awake for their surgery. Also, many patients are concerned that they will wake up with excruciating pain after surgery. But is it true that patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome actually need more anesthesia, or are more likely to experience pain after surgery?
