Aqua - Turn Back Time (Bass Cover)

Released in 1997 as the sixth single off Aqua's debut album, 'Turn Back Time' was also featured on the soundtrack of the 1998 film, 'Sliding Doors', which starred Gwyneth Paltrow.

Aqua made it big on the music scene with 'Aquarium', their debut album, in 1997. Their brand of Euro-dance and bubblegum pop was as huge on radio airwaves as it was on MTV. However, in stark contrast to the other zany sounding Europop tunes on 'Aquarium', 'Turn Back Time' was unusually mature-sounding and introspective.

I liked the fun nature of the album, but 'Turn Back Time' also had a special place in my heart for its sombre feel and lyrics.

The synth bassline made the tune, and served to really drive the emotions home, so that's what I tried my best to emulate note for note.
