Lutron Maestro Dimmer Switch Repair

Описание к видео Lutron Maestro Dimmer Switch Repair

Did your Maestro dimmer switch stop working after a bulb burnt out or while changing a bulb? Maybe the light is on full and you can't turn it off now? If so, the inexpensive TRIAC ( triode thyristor) within the expensive dimmer may have taken its last breath.

Let's open up a non working Maestro dimmer switch, quickly diagnose if the TRIAC has failed, replace it, and confirm all is working afterward.

This Maestro dimmer is rated to handle up to 600W, so that would be equal to a maximum 5 Amp load (600W / 120V). I would therefore recommend no lower than a 6 Amp rated TRIAC as the replacement. A BTA06 is rated at 6 Amps, a BTA08 at 8 amps.
