Payment & Appointment Once you submit the passport application, you can pay the passport fees online. After this, you will need to schedule an appointment at your nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK). The available appointments can be seen and booked through the passport portal based on the processing center you selected. Document Verification at PSK On the day of your appointment at the PSK, carry your original documents for verification. This includes identity proof, age proof, and address proof documents. The supporting affidavits also need to be provided in the original format. Your photograph, fingerprints, and signature will be captured at the PSK. Police Verification Removed As of 2022, the Passport Seva Program has made police verification optional for certain applicants like government employees or those with Aadhaar. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will not need to go separately to a police station afterwards. The police verification will be automatically sent to your address by post/email.
