Reflections is a series of videos by His Word In Wood that compress the entire process of creating a carving into just a few minutes. Every step is shown in 2-10 second video clips woven together and set to great music. The focus of this series is inspiration rather than instruction so just sit back and enjoy.

“The Father's Name” is a carving of four Hebrew pictograph letters that spell the sacred name of God, YHWH or Yahweh. The letters stand 13” high and are cut from 1-1/2” stock. They are mounted separately on the wall using an invisible mount.

In only 3-1/2 minutes, you will see a narrow board cut and glued up into a wide board, cut into letters on a band saw, rounded over with a router, shaped with a wood rasp, sanded, stained and finally finished in lacquer.

The rocking music background is the Hebrew song “Tov Lehodot La’Adonai” which means “It is Good to Give Thanks to The Lord.” It is straight out of Psalm 92:1 as sung by the King of Kings Community in Jerusalem.
