As the event organizer, you are able to transfer tickets to other events and/or ticket types on live events. This will not only change the ticket for the attendee but will also allow you to transfer the funds collected from one event to another. Transferring a ticket to another event can help you retain funds collected when an attendee is not able to attend the event they originally registered to attend.


You can transfer tickets to other live events or ticket types in your organization.


This will only change the ticket for the attendee, but will also allow you to transfer the funds from one event to another.


To use the transfer feature, you must use Eventbrite Payment Processing, the order had to be paid for with a credit or debit card, and you must have enough funds in your event to transfer them over to a new event. You can use the add funds feature if you have already been paid out. There is a video in the description linked below with more information about using that feature.


You cannot transfer attendees if your event has started or is over, the order is already checked in, your event is password-protected or invitation-only or the order is a free, manual order, or paid with offline funds.


From the event dashboard, go to "Manage Attendees" and then click ‘Orders’.


Find the order you want to transfer. And then select “Actions” in the dropdown next to the attendee you want to transfer.


Then select “Transfer attendee”. You can only transfer one ticket at a time.


If you are transferring to a new event: Click “Change event”, Select the new event. Next, you will choose the ticket type


If you are transferring to a new ticket type or seat on the same event just click “Change ticket”, And then select the new ticket type.


For reserved seating events, use the “Seating” option to the right to choose a seat. And then click “Continue”.


Delete any charges or fees on this page before moving on.


If you'd like to have attendees pay the difference, we have self-service transfers available. A video is linked below that explains how to set that up.


Double-check the registration information to make sure it is correct. And then select “Register”.


Their previous ticket will no longer be valid for the event, and Eventbrite sends a new confirmation email and ticket to the attendee.
