FRIED RICE PAPER CAKE DECORATIONS

I had this idea brewing in my head and finally got to test it. And no lie that great ideas come to many people at the same time, I am sure I am not the only one doing it.

I'm talking about fried rice paper. Have you tried it?

I've played with it in 3 ways. Mind your hands and fingers as pan and oil is really hot and burns will occur on touch.

One way I was soaking it in the water for 20-30 second and then frying on hot dry pan.

Second way was tossing dry rice paper to hot frying oil. That literally takes few seconds to puff.

And then I decided to test already set rice paper sail. I tossed it into hot frying oil. That took a bit longer than plain dry rice paper.

P. S. They are really nice to snack on, too, with a dip or without. :)
