WooHoop! World Hoop Day is October 7, 2017 and we are very excited to present the official dance. Colorado band the Double Bills (Bill Owen and Billy D'Vette) created the original song, which was written and choreographed by Che' Rippinger of Hip The Hoopla. **NEW VIDEO SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENSION: Thursday, November 2, 2017**

The dance is fun, fast, short and fairly easy. Learn*, enjoy, and ham it up! Beginners to advanced hoop dancers are all welcome and encouraged to participate.* You can keep it simple, or get really creative in your performance of this hula hoop dance. Hoopers and flow artists worldwide are encouraged to participate and send in your video of your WHD performance (try to get together with others to share the spotlight).

1.) WHD is 10/7/17. (Please submit your edited video within 2 weeks from WHD-- before Saturday October 21, 2017--}Now extended to Tuesday, October 31, 2017) to be included in the global compilation video to:

Any questions please message Che' Rippinger (via Hip The Hoopla on Facebook or by e-mail)--she will be collecting the videos and editing the compilation video.
***PLEASE Label Your Video: "World Hoop Day 2017 Video and your Location."
Example: "World Hoop Day 2017 Lima, Peru, South America."
You may want to e-mail your video file using www.wetransfer.com. The smaller the file, the better. At the very least, please e-mail Che your YouTube video link, if you are not able to e-mail your whole edited video.

Please include closeups, medium shots and full group shots in your video, if possible (more than one camera is very helpful). Fun costumes, (big hair/and makeup if you like) are highly encouraged--especially rock and roll style! Please keep it family friendly so the kids can enjoy...and participate in it, too! ♥

2.) Please include a pan from left to right of your entire group so we can see your people and faces (bonus points for originality and personality!)

3.) Please include a still photo of your WHD performance group/party/celebration, plus the location you are in/representing in the world--the more, the merrier! Let's see how many pins we can put in the world map and learn some geography while we make new hoop friends ♥

4.) Smile, smile, and "Sell it!"--it's way more important than getting everything 100% perfect. As Philo Hagen of Hooping.org says, "Whatever you are going to do, commit to it, own it, work it, nail it, sell it."

5.) Enjoy yourselves, your World Hoop Day celebration and share it with us! Remember to warm up, cool down, stay hydrated, bring friends, and meet new ones ♥

6.) If you have other flow artists, supporters, friends, family at your event, please get them involved. We like to have them arc around the back in a half circle band-shell look and give some extra presence to your group.
